The 1st Workshop on Archaeological Illustration of Ceramic Materials is an initiative that seeks, above all, to arouse interest in the theme of illustration in archeology. It is a passionate area which, in recent years and with the advent of new technologies, has undergone quite significant changes.
The 1st WORKSHOP on Archaeological Illustration of Ceramic Materials will take place next Saturday, December 7, 2019, starting at 9:00 am and will end at around 6:00 pm. S. Martinho de Anta, municipality of Sabrosa.
The purpose of this WORKSHOP is to provide participants with theoretical and practical knowledge about the illustration of ceramic materials in archeology, in the context of research and information dissemination to the general public. At the end of this workshop, the participant should be able to [1] understand the importance of drawing in archeology, [2] interpret and elaborate the design of a ceramic archaeological piece, [3] know the procedures, conventions and techniques of material design ceramic archaeological and [4] recognize the importance of archaeological design for research, didactics, pedagogy and the dissemination of scientific information.
